Introducing Peanuts: Sleeping Again!!!

Peanuts is turning 3 months old this January 2. We just got her 7 days ago and she's adjusting well in her environment.

She's a Terrier and Mini-Pinscher mix. Her resemblance to the two breeds are her Terrier appearance and Mini-Pinscher prancing gait. She loves running around, but what makes her special is the way she struts toward a human and then just sits their looking at them. If she sees another person walking around, she will strut to that person and sit in front of them.

She loves to sleep a lot. At the moment, she's resting most of the time because we got her vaccinated. Who would've thought she'd be experiencing pain after being given a 6-in-1 vaccine. The poor thing.

Here's one of her sleep-athon videos. She was pretty tired after a day of running around and exploring.

  2. Oh My Goodness Peanut is so cute.....

My Vickie says when I am sleeping with a hospital patient, I go into such a deep sleep that she can't wake me.

Looks like Peanut is the same way.

ANyway, glad to have found your page Haopee. Thanks for letting me know where your site was.

I am looking forward to becoming good internet friends.

  5. @Teddy and Sierra: You're welcome. You guys are so white. Like Angels...

@Bert: Me, too. I love that you have so many pictures with friends. And you go out on dog dates. I don't have that opportunity here where I live so it's nice to see a couple of doggies enjoy and eventually sit down for a pretty group picture.

Peanuts is getting better but she has a lump on her shoulder. I have to have that checked next time.

@Magic: No prob. I'd like to know you guys more. We also have 4 dogs in our pack but most of them are of native origin.

@Nola: Thanks for the email on the Dachs post. Those little feet can run really fast. They sound like rain drizzle on the roof when they run.

Thanks and Happy New Year Guys.

  6. Aww, poor thing! She is such a cutie! Rocket didn't ever have pain after a vaccination, Yuki did just once, but it was more like she was sore in the area and we couldn't touch the leg.

  10. Congratulations on your new puppy. :)

My Myrtle, who is 10 weeks old tomorrow, had a vaccine reaction - she got a lump and had diarrhea. :( We decided to wait until she is 18 weeks before she is vaccinated again, and then she probably won't be vaccinated ever again.

  11. @Y&R: Some dogs have it injected intramuscular. Since Peanuts was given the vaccine through subcutaneous injection, she felt a little soreness in her back for 2 days. Did you have to massage the injected part?

@Carolyn: Yes, she is. And she's smart too. She learned to poop on the paper after 4 days. She no longer pees in my room though she still has accidents in the living room. On the other hand, her poop-training gets her an A from me. Happy New Year to you too.

@Snoops: Snoops!!! Great to see you visit. Yes, one other thing that makes her special is she doesn't leave the room at night except for pooping and peeing until she sees me wake up and start moving in the morning.

    @Rumpy: Hey Rumpy. Thanks.

I read that interview on being a volunteer. I wish we had shelters where I live, but we don't.

@Tegan: Thanks. I wasn't planning on getting a Christmas puppy, but she was being sold on the streets and my boyfriend took one look at her and feel in-love.

Really? Poor Myrtle, she's probably pretty stressed. My new vet injected something he described as an anti-stress medicine. He also said that we had to massage the lump so it would go away.

Our new vet is asking us to have it done to her 4 times scheduled every 10 days.

    Happy new year everyone.
